Tribeca Festival Sets June 2027 Dates and Opens Submissions

Rebecca Glashow, CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, framed the announcement as a continuation of momentum. Building on a record year at the box office, we cannot wait to welcome our passionate audiences back to New York City for our 26th year, she said. She described the festival's core mission as bringing audiences and artists together to experience new cultural voices.

Building on a Milestone Year
The announcement follows the festival's landmark 25th anniversary edition, which ran from June 3 to 14 earlier this year. That iteration featured a record 104 feature film world premieres and more than 240 live events. It also welcomed 57 first-time feature filmmakers into an alumni community that includes Ryan Coogler, Damien Chazelle, Jon M. Chu, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Alex Gibney, Jessica Kingdon, and Nia DaCosta.
Highlights from the anniversary festival included Bruce Springsteen receiving the Harry Belafonte award during an event with Bono and Patti Smith. The lineup also featured premieres of Madonna's Confessions II cinematic experience, Katy Perry's concert film The Lifetimes Tour: Live From Paris, and the Katie Holmes-Joshua Jackson romantic comedy Happy Hours. An all-AI Iran film titled Dreams of Violets and the Margo Martindale-led drama The Long Haul also debuted.
New and Returning Pass Options
With submissions open, the festival has also put its 2027 pass offerings on sale. A new Hudson Opening Weekend Pass will provide access to festival programming from opening night through the first Monday. The Under 25 Pass, now in its second year after a successful pilot, will return to offer younger audiences greater access. A full suite of passes, including a Patron Pass with concierge service, is available.
Cara Cusumano, Tribeca Festival Director and SVP of Programming, credited recent success with setting the stage. "Last year's record-breaking submissions helped make our 25th anniversary one of the most remarkable editions in Tribeca's history," she said. The festival was founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff to spur the revitalization of lower Manhattan after the September 11 attacks.
