Dezeen's August 2026 highlights feature Willo Perron's pillow-stack bed for Knoll and playful lamps from Copenhagen studio 91-92.

Perron Pillo Bed for Knoll
Canadian designer Willo Perron created a generously proportioned bed for American brand Knoll. The Perron Pillo Bed gives the impression of a freestanding stack of pillows. It is the latest in Perron's lineup of bloated pieces for Knoll. This bed also marks the first bed produced by Knoll in several decades.
Ice Cube Lamps by 91-92
Copenhagen studio 91-92 is challenging typical Danish design with vivid hues and shapes. To celebrate the 2026 Chinese Year of the Horse, the studio added playful pony sculptures to the tops of its 3D-printed Ice Cube lamps. These lamps nod to the freezing temperatures of Copenhagen winters. The studio's goal is to create everyday objects people want to live with.
Konstrunda Tables for IKEA
London designer Andu Masebo, first known for his Tubular Chair made from car exhaust tubes, has designed a duo of curving side tables. They are part of IKEA's Konstrunda collection, which offers collectible design at an affordable price. The tables represent a smart graduation from Masebo's breakthrough chair and celebrate his fluid style.
Gel Lamp by Public Parts
Public Parts is the brainchild of London designer Billy Easter. He makes hand-cast silicone LED lamps with interchangeable colourful silicone gels. The removable gels allow users to switch between various mood lightings. "The lamp itself is also made entirely from silicone, giving it tactile and durable qualities that aren't immediately obvious from its geometric form," said Easter.
OG-NM301 Stool by NM3
Stainless steel experts NM3 collaborated with Quadro Design and Andrea Ferrari on a lightweight metallic stool. The Milanese studio wanted a durable but minimalist stool for outdoor spaces and showers. They paid particular attention to tube-bending techniques used in bike fabrication for the stool's subtly spindly legs. NM3 has been a staple of Milan's design scene since 2020.
**Fused Lamp by Grays and Lester**
Emerging London designers Audra Grays and Maxim Lester collaborated on a desk lamp using bricolage. Titled Fused, the lamp is made from offcuts from Grays' glassmaking and scraps from Lester's metalwork. The project shows how emerging creatives can collaborate to cut material costs while producing functional products. Fused will be on display during the London Design Festival next month as part of the Kiln Shift exhibition by Clink Street Ceramics.
