She entered the night as the most nominated artist with 13 nods. The 68-year-old icon also opened the show with her first VMAs performance in 23 years, performing 'Bring Your Love' with Sabrina Carpenter and 'Danceteria' with Charli XCX. Taylor Swift's victory for 'The Fate of Ophelia' brought her total VMA wins to 31, a solo record for a single artist. She also received the inaugural Artist Director Honors.
